Valspar® Interior/Exterior Contractor Bonding Primer is a high quality latex primer designed for the professional painter. This low odor/low VOC primer has superior adhesion over glossy surfaces, drywall, cured plaster, masonry, wood, galvanized metal, and aluminum. In addition, Valspar Bonding primer blocks stains from tannin bleed, knots, water damage, crayons and grease. Valspar Bonding primer is also sandable making it a great enamel undercoater.

Coverage

Covers up to 400 sq. ft. per gallon. Do not thin.

Where to Use

Properly prepared interior wall, trim and ceiling surfaces including previously painted and primed plaster, wood, brick, drywall, cement and metal.

Preparing the Surface

Read the Lead Warning in Cautions section. Clean and dry surface thoroughly, removing all dirt, dust, rust, grease and wax. Scrape off loose or peeling paint.

Application

Stir thoroughly before and occasionally during use. Apply when air and surface temperatures are between 50-90°F (10-32°C). Apply a liberal coat of primer uniformly, working well into the surface.

Dry Time

Dries to the touch in 15-30 minutes. Recoat in 45 minutes.
